What is a Delta Gamma?

Hello!
I am so happy that you’ve taken a moment to visit the Delta Gamma – Kappa Chapter website! My name is Susie Maser and I am truly blessed to be the House Mom at Delta Gamma! Part of what I do as the DG House Mom is to make sure our beautiful Home at 400 University Terrace is a safe and well maintained environment. This involves a wide variety of duties some of which include managing a flood in the basement on Christmas Eve, dealing with a squirrel in the craft room over summer break, cleaning boxer shorts off the anchor, buying every single bagel at Super Saver, escorting an air-conditioner repairman around at midnight with 200 guests in the House, ordering 50 pizzas when the cook calls in sick, and talking to the (super cute) firemen during a 2 a.m. fire alarm. However, my favorite moments are getting to meet families and new boyfriends, giving hugs when someone is homesick, encouraging you when you’re taking a test or going on an important interview, laughing and taking silly pictures during (another) theme party, going to your wedding or holding your brand new baby, listening when you’ve had a really bad day, loving you when you’re feeling broken, and celebrating with you when you’ve finally figured it all out! |

I have had the wonderful opportunity to get to know so many phenomenal young women and it is an honor and a privilege to share their Delta Gamma experience with them. For the past 16 years my girls have amazed me every day and I am so very proud of each and every one of them! These young women are talented, smart, and have a wide array of interests. They are classy, independent, enthusiastic, and involved on campus. They are deeply committed to their education and they hold each other to a high standard of excellence. My days are filled with their laughter, their acts of kindness, their friendship and their love for life! I admire everything about the Delta Gamma sisterhood and the bond that we share not only now…but for the rest of our lives.
