Welcome to Kappa Chapter of Delta Gamma at the University of Nebraska.
We are so excited to have you! Below is more information from our President.
Hello!
Welcome to the Delta Gamma - Kappa Chapter website! My name is Lexie Karkazis, and I have the honor of serving as the 2020 Chapter President. I am humbled to represent a group of women who are so passionate, genuine, intelligent, and unique.
Within the walls of 400 University Terrace, I have become a better version of myself. I’ve laughed with these women, I’ve had a shoulder to cry on, and I’ve had too many movie marathons to count. I have found my best friends, mentors, and biggest supporters.
Delta Gamma is a constant reminder for me of what it means to be an empowered woman. The most important quality I see in my fellow Delta Gamma’s is their true passion for what they do. They do good for their family, their friends, and their community in the most honest way possible. I am filled with pride thinking about the unique leaders each and everyone of these women are.
Even through the hard times, Delta Gamma is always there to lift you up after you fall. College is a roller coaster, but I can assure you that these women will do anything to support one another. In the ever-changing world we live in, being surrounded by women as caring as the ones in Delta Gamma will make all the difference.
This spring, we held our philanthropy, Mac and Cheesies with the DG’s, at our house and had an absolute blast! Our Galentine's Day sisterhood event was filled with tons of sweet treats and good music. Although we couldn’t meet in person after Spring Break, our members enjoyed catching up over Zoom and Facetime. This fall, we are incredibly excited to create new events to connect our chapter and our new members!
To potential new members:
I am so excited for you to experience everything that UNL has to offer. College is such a transformative time, and no matter what path you choose, know that you will always have a friend in Delta Gamma.
To my past and present Delta Gammas:
You inspire me to be better. Delta Gamma has pushed me to achieve goals I didn’t think were possible because of you all encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. Thank you for being my role models.
To all others:
Please take a look around and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions!
